Music from Angel Fire
Launches 2016 Art Competition

This year Music from Angel Fire launches its second annual juried art competition designed to recognize artistic talent in northern New Mexico. One artist will be selected and the winning work will be featured on the cover of the 2016 Summer Festival program book, a publication distributed at all festival concerts from August 19-September 4, 2016.

This year’s entries may be submitted by part- or full-time residents of Taos County and will be judged by a panel of five jurors. (The competition alternates each year between artists residing in Colfax and Taos Counties.) The winning artist will also have the opportunity to display and sell their work at the Angel Fire Community Center throughout the festival.

The submitted work must have been completed in the last two years and artists are invited to submit artwork created in 2D or 3D, including painting (any medium), photography, pottery and sculpture. A $20 non-application fee is required.

Deadline for submission is March 25, 2016. Full details for art submission can be found online at www.musicfromangelfire.org/artcompetition.
