Posted Nov 7, 2017
The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad gives back to the local communities that support the historic narrow-gauge railroad with charity food and toy drives on our special Santa Train Rides.
Dress warm and enjoy hot chocolate, candy canes and all sorts of goodies as Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus move about the train collecting holiday wishes for all good boys and girls. This event hosted by all the employees of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is a true act of seasonal giving.
One hour Santa Train Rides are only $5 per adult with a donation of a non-perishable food item or a new boxed toy - and children ride free. All food and toy donations are distributed to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, the Antonito Food Bank, the Chama Fire Department Toy Collection, and the Chama Valley Pantry operated by the Rio Arriba County Echo Food Bank.
Trains leave Antonito, Colorado on December 9-10 and from Chama, New Mexico on December 16-17, 2017. Trains from both depots leave at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm, and 4pm.
