Whatever your mother’s interests, a Taos outing with close friends and family will be a hit on Mother’s Day. We’ve assembled some activity ideas (many are free) – but remember, it’s her time with you that mom will most appreciate.
Start in Taos. Take in the Farmers Market then the Mother’s Day Music Festival in Kit Carson Park. Head out to the High Road for stops at fiber artists’ studios, part of the first annual NM Fiber Arts Crawl, then the Mother’s Day Pottery Sale at Ojo Sarco Pottery. After that, head west over to Abiquiu for a walk around Purple Adobe Farm’s lavender labyrinth. Drive back via Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs resort for a soak in the hot springs. Make it back to Taos in time for a chamber music concert at Harwood Museum of Art.
You may need two full days to accomplish all this! Here are times and places for highlights of Mother’s Day Weekend in Taos – and beyond.
