The Paseo Project is seeking international multimedia installation, performance and projection art proposals.

The Paseo Project is seeking multimedia installation, performance, and projection art proposals for the 2017 festival. The work should be immersive, participatory, and make a dynamic impact within the Taos Historic District during this evening festival. Preference is given to work that engages with the architecture within the historic downtown. Work can be roving/migratory, performative, site-responsive, culturally-situated, land-based or somehow distort or disrupt scale and soundscape.

This is a juried call for artists and art collectives with an entry fee ($25). Local Taos artists enter for free with the code TAOSlocal. The Paseo Project provides artist stipends and will assist with large equipment needs such as sound systems. A volunteer crew helps with any temporary structures that may need to be built.

Artists may also submit proposals for STEMarts LAB @ The PASEO, an innovative educational program that brings middle and high school students into the STEM-art making process at The Paseo. Workshops can be one-day or two-days, incorporating hands-on technologies, science, or engineering activities that are part of the artist’s work. Artist must submit lesson plan and concept for student performance/installation at the festival, as part of the general application process. Stipends are available for eligible artists.
