The PASEO extends call for entries
Extended deadline: March 22
The PASEO, a festival dedicated to bringing the art of installation, performance and projection to the streets of Taos, New Mexico, announces its open international call for entries for the PASEO 2016. The PASEO engages the community in the art making process during its annual two-day outdoor event, set in the high desert of Taos, New Mexico. The PASEO 2016 is scheduled for Friday and Saturday evening, September 23rd and 24th, 2016, in collaboration with the Taos Fall Arts Festival.
The PASEO is seeking installations, projection, and/or performance art that can be installed, shown, projected and/or performed outdoors for this two-day outdoor art festival located in the Taos Downtown Historic District. Art must be designed for outdoor and nighttime viewing. Artists must be on site 5pm-10pm daily, September 23rd and 24th.
This juried open call will close on March 22, 2016. In addition to showing work, PASEO 2016 artists are encouraged to offer daytime workshops, lectures or offer a LAB in the STEMarts LAB @ The PASEO – our youth component of the festival. Information can be found on the call.

Music from Angel Fire Art Competition
Music from Angel Fire launches its second annual juried art competition designed to recognize artistic talent in northern New Mexico. One artist will be selected and the winning work will be featured on the cover of the 2016 Summer Festival program book, a publication distributed at all festival concerts from August 19-September 4, 2016.

SUBMISSION CRITERIA and GENERAL INFORMATION
Taos Center for the Arts’ Self Portrait Exhibition is an opportunity for Taos artists to express themselves through various media including photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Artists are encouraged to create works that reflect personality, life stories, and feelings.
Conditions of Exhibition:
1. art is to have been completed within the past year
2. open to all media forms
3. wall hung art must be professionally mounted or framed, ready to hang, and no larger than 30″ wide.
4. artist may submit only one work of art for consideration by jury
5. all works of art must remain on exhibition for the length of the show
6. works may be for sale – 60% to artist; 40% to TCA
7. artist is responsible for all shipping arrangements
8. TCA reserves the right to use any image of accepted works for publicity and documentation.
9. Artists are encouraged to attending opening reception April 28, 4-6pm

After Dark 5 at Greg Moon Art

After Dark 5 – This is a national juried show celebrating darkness and the varied reactions emblematic to this subject matter. Greg Moon Art of Taos is posting a call for entries for this annual show. This year the jurors are: Wendy Sherman (Artist/ Independent Curator/ Manager Gregorio Escalante Gallery), Christian Ristow (Robotics/ Sculptural Artist), and Greg Moon (Artist/ Curator/ Gallery Owner).
