“Larry Bell: Pacific Red” opens to the public today in the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art on the campus of Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Many of the artworks – the Light Knots and Church Study collages – were made in Bell’s Taos studio. The largest piece, a 12-panel “standing wall” red glass sculpture, was fabricated off-site specifically for this exhibition.
Following are shots of the installation process and a few pictures of the final galleries, courtesy of the artist. The exhibition will be on view through April 2, 2017.
