Last week, a 31st installation was added to the list of new media artworks that will be on view at The PASEO, a 100%-free event in the historic district of Taos on September 25 and 26. Wheel of Fortune, a collaborative piece by Jill Sutherland and Anne Staveley is scheduled for a location in Kit Carson Park. The piece is described by the artists as, “an offering of the Major Arcana of the Tarot, a divination tool for daily counsel and companionship.” Wheel of Fortune has 22 doors from which audience members select to learn their fortune.
“Follow your intuition, select a door, and invite something to be awakened within you,” time-traveling mystic guides within the space urge visitors. ” Be brave, Hero. Your destiny awaits…”
Because The PASEO’s list of artists has evolved over the past six months, here for clarity’s sake is a final list of events and artists and installations. Interestingly, 16 of the 31 installations are from New Mexico artists; five of those from Taos.
