Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1,000 years.
Year round dances and festivals that include: Turtle Dance and Deer or Buffalo Dance in January, Taos Pueblo Pow Wow and Corn Dances in July, San Geronimo Day with traditional pole climb in September, and Procession of the Virgin and community bonfires on Christmas Eve.
